Citations Issued to Owner of Dead Horses

State animal welfare officials say they have cited the owner of some horses that investigators say were being neglected in Williamson County.
Two horses that had been dead for several days were found at the owner’s property off Mustang Road near Whiteash.
Williamson County Commissioner Brent Gentry says he is reading investigator’s reports and will continue to look into the case.
The citations issued are for failing to properly bury the dead animals, as well as for failing to adequately feed and water horses.
