Benton Superintendent Gets State Award

Benton Consolidated High School Superintendent Kelly Stewart picked up her Illinois Superintendent of the Year award this weekend in Chicago.

Stewart was selected for the honor by the Illinois Association of School Administrators.
Stewart is a graduate of Benton Consolidated High School and earned her bachelor’s, master’s and PhD at SIU. She’s been the superintendent in the Benton high school district for the past 12 years.

She’s now in the running for the American Association of School Administrators National Superintendent of the Year award to be announced at the national conference in February.
