Ex-Sheriff's Son In Prison On Parole Violation

The son of a former Gallatin County Sheriff, on probation for harassing witnesses against his father, is in prison after a DUI in April.

The probation for Cody Martin, 24, was part of a plea deal for harrassing witnesses in a case against his father, former Gallatin County Sheriff Raymond Martin.

In 2010, Raymond Martin received two life sentences for trying to kill two witnesses against him along with 15 charges of selling marijuana and carrying a firearm in connection with a drug crime.

Jackson County State's Attorney Mike Carr took until August to file a revocation of Cody Martin's probation. Online records say Cody Martin was put in the Menard Correctional Center earlier this month.
