Governor Says He'll Veto ADM Tax Incentives

Gov. Pat Quinn says he will veto any legislation with special tax breaks to get Archer Daniels Midland Company to keep its global headquarters in Illinois - until lawmakers address the state's pension crisis.

Quinn says it's "the wrong time" to talk about tax incentives for any company.

Last week - ADM announced it plans to move its global headquarters — and 100 jobs — out of Decatur.

The company has asked lawmakers for up to $24 million in tax breaks to keep the headquarters in Illinois.
