Dog Stabbed During Dispute

Police in Johnston City are investigating what lead to a dog being stabbed during a dispute between two people.
The dog was injured this weekend after someone slashed the tires of a vehicle parked at a home. Authorities say they don't know if the property owner's dog was either stabbed deliberately or when the animal went after the vandal.
Police Chief Vernon Campbell says the dog was taken to a veterinarian. The animal's medical status wasn't immediately clear.
There's no word on any arrests or charges.
