Traffic Stop Leads To Drug, Weapons Bust

In Washington County, State Police say three men from Georgia were arrested after authorities found marijuana, about $25,000 in cash and an assault-style weapon in the men's rental car during a traffic stop.
Police say the men, ranging in age from 19 to 27 were headed from Georgia to Colorado to buy marijuana when they were pulled over Tuesday on Interstate 64.
Police say the unidentified men aroused suspicion because they appeared nervous while being questioned. That prompted a search of their vehicle, where the money was found along with the assault-style rifle. Police say the driver was also carrying a handgun.
The driver is charged with possessing marijuana and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. The passengers are facing a marijuana-possession charge.
