Lee, Rollins Trials Postponed

Two defendants in Franklin County were set for trial next week, but now those trials have been delayed.
Christopher Rollins is accused of throwing meth making chemicals on a woman in August 2012, setting her on fire outside a home in West Frankfort. Public Defender Mike Rowland asked for more time in the case, and it is now set for December 10.
Donald Lee is charged with first degree murder in the May 17 shooting of Brittany Andrews in the parking lot of Vickee’s Card Shop in Benton. After a conflict of interest with his public defender was discovered, he was given a new attorney, and a new trial date – October 8th.
State’s Attorney Evan Owens said the state plans to call about 100 witnesses in the murder trial.
