In Franklin County, a pre-trial hearing is today for a man accused of lighting a McLeansboro woman on fire last year.
29-year-old Christopher Rollins appears Thursday for an aggravated battery charge. Police accuse Rollins of throwing a meth-making substance on 23-year-old Tessa Leech and lighting her on fire in August of last year. Leech was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital with severe burns, but she survived the attack.
Police say they also found other meth precursors in Rollins’ home in West Frankfort. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
