In Perry County, all charges have been dropped for one of the men charged in connection with the murder of a teenager from Pinckneyville in 2010.
Chad Bennett’s attorney, Bryan Drew, says the murder, home invasion and burglary charges against Bennett were dismissed by Perry County State’s Attorney David Stanton Thursday morning.
Stanton says the charges were dropped because the other defendants in the case refused to testify against Bennett.
Dakota Wall still faces murder charges in the death of her half-sister, Sidnee Stephens. Three others have already been sentenced to prison time for the murder, although one of those three committed suicide before he was transferred to prison.
