Not Testifying

In Perry County, two men convicted of murdering Sidnee Stephens three years ago are saying no thanks to a request by the State’s Attorney to testify in trials related to the murder.
20-year-old James Glazier and 17-year-old Robbie Mueller appeared in court yesterday and shot down State’s Attorney David Stanton’s request that they testify against Chad Bennett and Dakota Wall. Bennett and Wall face charges of conspiracy to commit murder, they were arrested in October.
Glazier is serving 60 years in prison while Mueller is serving 37. Both face contempt of court charges for not testifying, and could have received immunity for their comments, which wouldn’t affect their current sentence.
Carl Dane was also convicted of murdering Stephens in July 2010, but Dane killed himself shortly after he was convicted a year later.
