Crash Results in Two Injuries

In Jackson County, police are investigating a crash that resulted in two injuries.
The crash happened around 11:20 in the morning yesterday on Rt. 127 south of Route 4 in rural Murphysboro. Jackson County Deputies say a box truck with a heavy equipment trailer came up behind a slow-moving tractor trailer heading southbound, tried passing it and hit a blue Ford Ranger heading northbound.
The two women inside the Ford Ranger, driver 39-year-old Rhonda Miller and 43-year-old Sally Peterson sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Miller was cited for driving an uninsured vehicle. 
The driver of the box truck, 42-year-old Gregory McCloughan, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
