Concealed Carry Veto?

Gov. Pat Quinn is finally going to give lawmakers what they've been asking for: a decision on legislation to allow the concealed carry of weapons in Illinois.
State Rep. Brandon Phelps says the governor's office informed him that Quinn will use his amendatory veto powers today to rewrite the measure.
The bill requires the same rules statewide. Quinn has advocated allowing larger cities to adopt their own restrictions but has given few hints about what he'll do.
Lawmakers had asked him to make a decision quickly so they can plan their next steps. Illinois has until July 9th to enact concealed carry.
Any changes Quinn makes could face an override threat.
