River Flooding

The Mississippi River is set to crest several feet above flood stage Thursday night into Friday morning.
The National Weather Service says the river at Cape Girardeau will crest at 45 feet, 13 feet above flood stage, Thursday evening. They caution to not drive near flooded areas and don’t allow children to play in flood waters.
The river at Thebes is at 42 feet as of Wednesday night, nine feet above flood stage, and will rise another foot before cresting Friday morning.
