A Jackson County teenager is charged with home invasion after police say he barricaded himself inside his ex-girlfriend’s apartment.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a call around 1:30 in the morning Saturday to a call that someone barricaded themselves inside a residence.
Police say 19-year-old Garret Peterman was inside his ex-girlfriend’s residence while she was out of town. They also say Peterman sent threatening text messages to her and other family members.
Police circled the residence and took Peterman into custody. He is being held without bond.
