Poshard said a proposal which would require the board to have equal representation from both Carbondale and Edwardsville campuses would ease some of the issues facing the University.
His comments come a month after the Senate stopped the Governor’s attempt to strip the board of appointees aligned with Poshard.
Poshard has said that he has had no contact with the Governor since the controversy first took place.
