An ATV accident has claimed the life of a man from Jonesboro.
28-year-old Stephen Wheaton was found dead in a creek around 7:44 a.m. yesterday.
Union County Coroner Phil Hileman says he was riding an ATV that had a roof and a roll cage.
Wheaton was traveling along a creek about 2.5 miles west of Jonesboro off of Illinois 146 near Berryville Road.
Hileman says he believes the accident occurred Tuesday night.
