An unstable structure is holding up the investigation into Monday night's fire in Carterville.
Williamson County Fire Chief Bruce Talley says the building is heavily damaged by the fire and was old to begin with. Now the concern is the structure could collapse.
He also says the fire doesn't seem suspicious, but the investigation is ongoing.
Talley says the area on Division Street between Illinois Avenue and Grand Avenue won’t be clear for at least a few days.
