Starting tomorrow, Du Quoin will call someone other than John Rednour their mayor for the first time in 24 years.
Rednour is expected to officially announce his retirement at tonight’s city council meeting.
A public reception for Rednour will be held after tonight’s meeting around 6:20 p.m.
Finance Commissioner Rex Duncan will fill in as mayor for the rest of the term.
