The former Marion water manager accused of embezzling over half-a-million dollars will appear in court today.
Linda Heyde will be arraigned at the US District Court in Benton on three counts of embezzlement. She is accused of stealing $524,000 from Marion’s water department between 2009 and last year.
She had been Marion’s water manager since 1996, but was fired in 2012 after an audit revealed suspicious transactions in her department.
