Murphysboro Mayor Ron Williams and his mayoral challenger Will Stephens focused on the city’s challenges in a debate at the Davis-McCann Center last night.
 
Both candidates focused on the need for improvements to the city’s water and sewer systems. Williams admits that the city has been slow when it a new sewer plant was proposed.
 
Stephens said he would take a close look at all the possibilities for improvement, but warned that fees may increase in order to get the job done.
 
The election is April 9^th.
