In Franklin County, the trial of a man accused of severely burning his girlfriend is being pushed back.
A judge says 29-year-old Christopher Rollins will likely have a pre-trial hearing on September 5th. The trial was originally scheduled to begin on September 10th, Rollins filed a motioned to delay that, and the Franklin County State’s Attorney did not file an objection.
Rollins is charged with aggravated battery. He is accused of throwing a flammable liquid on 22-year-old Tessa Leach during an argument in August of last year, which ignited and left severe burns.
