In Williamson County, Rt. 13 from Shawnee Trail Road to Greenbriar Road, just east of Crab Orchard Lake, will be reduced to one lane starting Monday at 7 p.m.
Traffic will be open to both lanes again from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the day, and this will repeat until early September, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation. Workers will be widening Rt. 13 to three lanes on each side in that area.
In Marion, Skyhawk Road will be closed about 1 mile west of Spillway Road. Workers will be replacing a bridge and the work is expected to take six weeks.
Another project is reducing I-57 to one lane by mile marker 65, near the West Frankfort exit. Workers will be painting the IL Route 149 Bridge over I-57 for the next two weeks.
