Stanley Conviction



Torvelle Stanley is the last of four men sentenced in the 2010 murder of 21-year-old Jamel Davis.
Stanley was found guilty at the U.S. Federal Court yesterday in Benton.
 
He was one of four men who tried robbing an apartment in Herrin back in 2010, but once they arrived, Davis fought the men and Stanley shot him in the chest.

Stanley could see anywhere from 20 years to life in prison.
 
Travius Tucker was the other armed suspect in the robbery, he was found guilty in 2011 and is serving 55 years in prison.
 
Demetrius Moore is serving four years probation in return for testifying in court. He pled guilty to armed robbery.
 
Tommy Hampton stayed in the car with Moore during the robbery, and he was given a ten-year sentence.
