Series of Robberies Leads to Jail Time For Three People

In Jefferson County, a man will spend a dozen years behind bars for robbing a bank last year.

Jeffrey Wilson, 42, of Waltonville pleaded guilty in Jefferson County Circuit Court to a felony count of first-degree robbery. The charges stems from a robbery at the Community First Bank of the Heartland in Woodlawn.

Jessica Wilson, 30, Jeffrey’s wife, is charged with robbing the Jefferson County Schools Credit Union in Mount Vernon with her husband last December.

A third defendant, Ann Ramsey of Waltonville, is already serving an eight-year sentence for that robbery.

In exchange for Jeffrey Wilson's guilty plea, prosecutors dropped three other counts and four traffic tickets.
