More Money for Road Work



The state is providing $15-million dollars for more road work in the future.
 
Some of the projects:
 
Williamson County: Route 166 from North of Ralls Grove Road to Lake of Egypt Road near Creal Springs will receive paving work.
 
Jackson County: Route 13 in Carbondale from Wall Street to Glenview drive will be resurfaced.
 
Perry County: new sidewalks and streetlights will be added to Main Street in Du Quoin from Washington to Hickory Street.
 
Franklin County: Route 37 will be patched and resurfaced for about three miles from north of West Frankfort to Yellow Banks Road.
 
Washington County: 8.3 miles of U.S. 51 from the Perry County line to Route 15 intersection will be resurfaced.
 
Union County: A bridge over a creek one-and-a-half miles west of Cobden will be replaced.
 
Saline County: Two bridges over Brier Creek will near Harrisburg will be replaced and Route 34 will have patchwork done.
