A woman from Herrin who went missing on Monday was found yesterday trapped in a ravine.
68-year-old Billie Earl was found after a passerby noticed skid-marks along Crenshaw road leading to Earl’s white 2004 GMC Envoy stuck amongst a few bushes, just a few feet away from a strip-pit that was 50-60 feet deep.
Despite spending two days outside by the ravine without food or water, Earl was found responsive by Illinois State Police.
She is now at Herrin Hospital receiving treatment.
The accident is under investigation.
