A Herrin woman was taken into custody for stealing a few thousand dollars worth of merchandise from a Sam’s Club in Paducah.
42-year-old Veronica Stout was arrested on a warrant for felony theft on Wednesday. Police say she took pet supplies and computer equipment on April 15th.
Police say she could also be a suspect in thefts from Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart’s across four states, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. The total worth of those thefts is around $15,000.
Authorities say they also found maps of other Sam’s Club and evidence that Stout was selling what she stole online.
