In Williamson County, a man faces 15 to 30 years in prison for videotaping the sexual exploitation of a minor.
30-year-old Matthew Staszak pled guilty in federal court yesterday to charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and failure to appear in federal district court.
Staszak would travel to Williamson County from his home in North Carolina to visit the minor and record videos of the two engaging in sexual activity.
He also cut off an ankle monitor in fall 2012 and failed to appear in court, making him a fugitive until June 2nd, when he was caught by the U.S. Marshals.
Sentencing is set for December 6th.
