The Illinois Fire Marshal says natural gas caused a deadly house explosion in Du Quoin.
Fire investigators and representatives from Ameren and insurance companies collected evidence from the scene on Friday. The blast killed 83-year-old Harold A. Pundsack and damaged about a dozen homes in the area on August 11th.
The fire marshal says there was a problem with a natural gas line. Investigators say they're still trying to figure out exactly what went wrong.
