Chicago’s police chief says that anyone who donates to political campaigns that support the second amendment is guilty of corruption and endangering public safety.
Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy expressed his views on a talk show Sunday.
He also says that the law supports mandatory liability insurance on gun owners, and that GPS devices should be installed on all guns.
Illinois State Rifle Association Executive Director Richard Pierson says in an article on the Washington Times that McCarthy’s expertise of the Constitution “barely qualifies him to be a meter maid.”
