A high-speed chase in Murphysboro led to the arrests of three men, including one who had a warrant for attempted first-degree murder.
That warrant was for 21-year-old Jyshawn Jackson, who also had a charge of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm in Champaign County.
Jackson, 21-year-old Daivon Harris of Murphysboro and 20-year-old Nigelle Bird of Cape Girardeau were all in the car that officers tried to stop around 6 p.m. last night. The vehicle led police on a chase on the south westr side of Murphysboro that ended when the car lost a wheel.
The three suspects were apprehended after trying to flee on foot.
Jackson had resisting arrest and aggravated fleeing to elude added to his charges, while both Harris and Bird received resisting arrest charges.
Bird was also charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
