Three men, including a businessman from Makanda, are pleading guilty to anti-trust charges.
70-year-old Barrett Rochman of Makanda, 51-year-old Scott McLean and 56-year-old John Vassen pleaded guilty to participating in non-competitive tax sales relating to property tax-liens sold at public auction. The offenses occurred between 2005 and 2008.
Rochman runs Rochman Investments and has fundraised in the area to combat Tay-Sachs disease. All three men will be sentenced on February 21st.
