Former Chief Deputy Plans To File Appeal Over Dismissed Lawsuit
In Saline County, the attorney of a former chief deputy convicted of sexual assault says he will fight the dismissal of a lawsuit brought by his client.
The lawsuit from former Saline County Chief Deputy Todd Fort claimed State’s Attorney Michael Henshaw released phone calls from jail that Fort made to harm him during his criminal case. Fort pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault charges in 2011 and Henshaw released phone conversations to a news website after a Freedom of Information Act request.
The motion, filed by Fort’s attorney, Darrell Dunham, contests the dismissal of the lawsuit against Henshaw in December.
