A company from White County plans to open more than two dozen video gaming locations in the region.
WAAB Enterprises is based in Carmi.
Executives say they're setting up shop in Du Quoin, Sesser, Harrisburg, Carmi, Murphysboro, Anna and other communities.
The state gets a quarter of the net profit generated by each video game terminal, while another 5 percent goes to whatever local government issues a liquor license.
Each site will have about five employees.
Illinois officials eventually expect as many as 75,000 of the machines will be installed across the state.
