A hung jury is the result of jury deliberations for Dr. Jogendra Chhabra, the doctor accused of sexually assaulting one of his patients in White County.
After closing arguments yesterday, jurors went into deliberations around noon. They came back at 3:30 p.m. with a note for Judge Mark Stanley saying they could not reach a vedict.
Stanley sent them back to deliberate, saying they needed to spend more time. Around 9 p.m., a hung jury was announced. Nine jurors say he’s not guilty, two said guilty and one was undecided.
