The Jackson County Liquor Advisory Board says the bars in Carbondale should stay open on Halloween.
The board’s recommendation includes restrictions, like a 21-and-up age limit and a ban on any extra marketing, including drink specials.
The proposal also says bars need to hire extra security.
A Carbondale city ordinance keeps the bars from being open on Halloween and has been in effect for 12 years. The City Council will address the proposal at it’s next meeting.
