The Jackson County Coroner says a preliminary autopsy on a dead SIU student shows he died of hypothermia. Coroner Thomas Kupferer says there is no indication of foul play in the death of 19-year-old Pravin Varughese. His body was found in a wooded area in Carbondale Tuesday morning. The coroner’s office says toxicology results will be known in two to three weeks. Police say Varughese fled into the wooded area after an acquaintance tried giving him a ride home from a party.
