Wednesday night marked the beginning of this year’s annual steam, gas, and threshing show in Pinckneyville. Each year collectors, exhibitors, tractor enthusiasts, and tourists crowd to the Pinckneyville Fairgrounds to take in the daily activities of the show.
This is the 50th anniversary of the show, and Board of Directors member Gaylen Greer says that equipment numbers are reaching near-record highs. Greer says that the event was established to display how our forefathers worked and farmer, and also as a way to show the evolution of equipment over the past several decades.
Friday and Saturday night features the ITPA tractor pulls at 7:00, and the show concludes on Sunday afternoon with an antique car show.
