Yesterday Union County States Attorney Tyler Edmonds announced that charges have been filed against a 2nd man in connection with the September 28th attack on 2 elderly women at the First Baptist Church in Anna. 23 year old Jared Lee Garver of Anna faces 1 count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, 1 count of concealing a fugitive, and 2 counts of obstructing justice. Garver is alleged to have concealed Willis Bates in his basement while police where looking for Bates in the vicinity. Garver also allegedly provided false information to police and concealed a handgun he received from Bates.
