The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and the Williamson County Major Case Squad have opened an investigation into the death of Jeannie Schuur, 22 years of age, of Murphysboro.

Jeannie’s body was located this morning by hunters in an area west of Cambria Road and south of Cardinal Lane. This area is within Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge property. Jeannie’s body was found on land, not in the lake.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday. No additional information will be released today. The next available information will be released by the Williamson County Coroner’s Office after the autopsy.
