A conviction has been overturned in the case of a Marion man who was originally convicted of sexually assaulting a teen.

On Wednesday, a Williamson County Judge ruled that Brad Carter was not guilty of sexual assault.

Carter was originally arrested in 2008, and a jury found Carter guilty in 2013, until the conviction was thrown out after the court found that one of the jurors did not meet proper qualifications.

Carter was re-tried this week in a bench trial.
