Screen Shot 2014-05-21 at 11.27.19 AMThree former employees of the Williamson County Circuit Clerk’s office have been charged with felony theft and official misconduct in a statement made by Attorney General Lisa Madigan yesterday.

49 year old Marsha Dickinson,, formerly of Marion, and former Clerk Supervisor, was charged with seven counts of official misconduct, three counts of theft, one count of conspiracy to commit theft and three count s of forgery.

58 year old Cheryl Cundiff of Herrin, and former Deputy Clerk was charged with two counts of official misconduct, one count of theft and one count of conspiracy to commit theft.

43 year old Kelly Trammel of Marion and former Deputy Clerk was charged with two counts of official misconduct, one count of theft, and one count of conspiracy to commit theft.

 

The charges were made against the defendants after it was discovered that $84,000 had been stolen from the county.

According to the Southern Illinoisan, the allegations were first reported in August of 2013 and all three employees were fired shortly afterward.
