Two people face weapons and drug charges after they were arrested at John A. Logan College.

23-year-old Brocton Collins of Carterville and 22-year-old Rebecca Hewlett of West Frankfort were arrested around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say they found three handguns and suspected controlled substances inside their car. The substances are being tested at the State Crime Lab.

Collins is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. Hewlett is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal transportation of alcohol.
