A raid Monday morning resulted in the arrests of eight people in White County.
Police entered a residence around 5 a.m. Monday with warrants granted to them by a grand jury on January 18th. The investigation was conducted by the White County Sheriff’s Office, Carmi Police Department and the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force.
Seven of the charges involved unlawful delivery of either a controlled substance or cannabis. One arrest was for a failure to appear in court and obstruction of justice.
In a news release, White County Sheriff Doug Maier says his office will seek a search warrant for the residence of 29-year-old Jedadiah Locher, one of the people arrested in the raid, and Maier said he expects additional charges in the future.
