One of the oldest American World War II veterans is traveling the country and his trip has brought him to the land of Lincoln. Sidney Walton is 99-years-old. Walton was in Springfield Tuesday to meet Governor Bruce Rauner. His plan is to meet with the governor from every state. His goal is to raise awareness for the decreasing number of WWII veterans.
Sidney and his son will end their tour at the White House on Sidney’s 100th birthday, February 11th, 2019.
