Governor Rauner visits Marion touting budget deal

Governor Bruce Rauner is visiting some downstate communities to discuss the new state budget but says more work needs to be done.

The governor is touting the budget deal that includes more money for education and a new adoption tax credit. But he also notes there are some issues that still need to be addressed, specifically the lack of reductions to business regulations

Governor Rauner says he’ll also keep pushing to reduce state mandates on schools and communities in favor of more local control.
