Two Williamson County men have been arrested in Herrin after police there found them sitting in a stolen car.

According to a press release from the Herrin Police Department, officers found the car occupied by 21-year-old Dustin Grizzell and 23-year-old Daniel Davidson.

Both men were on parole.

After searching the car, police found a stolen handgun with defaced serial numbers where Grizzell had been sitting. Police say the car contained a number of other items believed to be stolen as well.

Grizzell was issued a number of citations including possession of a stolen firearm, defacing identification marks on a firearm, and resisting or obstructing a police officer.

The Department of Corrections also issued warrants for both Grizzell and Davidson. Both men were taken to the Williamson County Jail.
