Gregory Martin, the 23-year-old Carterville man who was arrested Sunday holding an AR-15 rifle and wearing body armor will not be formally charged with unlawful use of body armor.

Court records also show he will not face charges of disorderly conduct.

According to Carterville Police, the rifle was never fired and Martin surrendered to police without incident.

He posted a $1,000 bond Tuesday.
