A Williamson County teacher’s aide and coach accused of trying to solicit sex from a teen is on paid administrative leave from his current employer – Williamson County Education Services.

27 year old Jeremy Cobb of Cambria was arrested yesterday and charged with indecent solicitation of a child and grooming.

Authorities say Cobb was working as a teacher’s aide this summer at Carterville High School when he committed the crimes in May and June of this year. The alleged victim was a student at the school.

Jami Hodge, director of Williamson County Education Services, said Cobb was placed on administrative leave as soon as officials learned of the investigation. Carterville Superintendent Keith Liddell said his district is investigating the matter thoroughly.

Cobb was also a freshman football coach at Carterville High.

Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti said law enforcement’s investigation is continuing. Cobb’s bond was set at $50,000.
