An Illinois man facing terrorism charges for trying to set off a bomb back in 2012 told a judge yesterday that he is not insane.

Adel Daoud spoke yesterday at a hearing to determine his mental competency.

In addition to the terrorism, Daoud is charged with soliciting the murder of an undercover agent in the terrorism case and attacking a fellow jail inmate in 2015.

Although Daoud maintains he is mentally fit, he also says he fears the US government will behead him because of his religion.
